Verbena Salon occupies the corner of St. Phillip and Cannon. Great haircut!

There are a few of these units left. They are incredibly well constructed and great looking, perfect contrast to historic properties.

Beads on Cannon is much more than it appears on the exterior. The upstairs bead room is like Aladdin’s cave. There are an overwhelming amount of jems, black beard would be envious. Owner Jo Cannon is learning to speak Chinese so she can bring even more treasures from the orient back to Charleston. I couldn’t resist buying a tiny garnet pendant, it was only $5!

This morning I walked to the farmers market, my favorite Saturday activity, it was threatening to rain so the crowds were modest and the weather was cool, what a nice change! Travel and Leisure Magazine voted Our farmers market no. 5 in the US! We were also no. 1 for friendliness and no. 3 for most attractive people!

Finally the newest restaurant in Cannonborough opens. I went there for wine and cheese last night and it was great! Friends I saw there said they had waited weeks for a reservation! Great wine and cheese, I can’t wait to go back for dinner.
